I did a 1-month expedition in Alaska, where the first 2 weeks were spent sea kayaking and the second half was spent backpacking through the mountains.

I’ve never been somewhere so wild and beautiful before. The sea was brimming with sea creatures, where we saw an Orca whale, seals, sea otters, a sea lion and porpoises. We paddled through chunks of glacier ice and camped in front of an active glacier.

When we were backpacking, we crossed creeks lined with wildflowers, placed so beautifully that it almost seemed artificial, and meadows of blueberries so our lips became blue from plucking and eating while we walked.

It was the biggest adventure I ever did, and I was so proud to represent Montbell during the expedition, because the gear Montbell sponsored me with made my trip so much more comfortable and safer. My Montbell gear was so lightweight, waterproof and warm that I was one of the few in my expedition group that always felt dry and warm.

My Gore-Tex Montbell rain hat made kayaking and camping in the pouring rain much easier, as I was able to hear better and move my head more comfortably than wearing a hood.

My Merino Wool Montbell hoodie and lightweight fleece kept me warm and dry throughout the cold nights, and also packed compactly in my bag..

I wore my Merino Wool base layers throughout the day and night, which kept me comfortable and warm. I did not feel too hot when I was wearing them while I kayaked too. Throughout the month I would wash the base layers in streams, and they are so thin and quick-drying that I could wear the base layers soon after washing them.

The funky patterns and happy colours of my Montbell gear also made me feel like my gear stood out and represented my fashion style. I was very proud to be wearing Montbell and really believe they are worth investing in when doing outdoor activities. They are lightweight, effective in keeping you dry and warm, quick drying when washed and have beautiful colours and patterns.
